I forgot how openly transphobic this instance often is, why the fuck did the mods try to move here and why is it still here??

People not agreeing with outrageous, hyperbolic statements doesn't mean they're phobic of anything except outrageous, hyperbolic statements.

They're right. As much as there's room for improvement, it is nothing compared to a genocide, as anyone who's actually experienced one will tell you.

Trying to deny healthcare and rights to trans people while politicians and terfs try to get us all locked up, sterilized, or killed, definitely not genocide. Like how the US didn't genocide native Americans, just destroy their culture and society and kill a bunch of them (but not enough to actually be a genocide)

Honestly stunning that you'd equate discrimination against trans people with the numerous atrocities committed against American indigenous people.

Either you don't know what happened to the indigenous peoples of the Americas, or you're a fucking idiot. Possibly both. This is well beyond hyperbole.

So no response? "Explain how conversion therapy, systemic violence, denying important healthcare, and an active push to have us all wiped out isn't genocide" if you have an actual argument I'll listen, just make sure it's more convincing than "actually it's not genocide unless 1500000000000000000000 people are killed en masse you're just diluting the term" I get trans people aren't genocided everywhere, but again, explain how conversion therapy, systemic violence, denying important healthcare, and an active push to have us all wiped out isn't genocide

I'll concede that the situation in the UK might not be genocide yet, I don't know if conversion therapy is done there, but it should be obvious enough where they're going that I don't understand why you'd argue it's not genocide. Who benefits from you saying "it's not genocide yet, so don't say that word until it's too late and you're all rounded up and killed"? "The transgender community is silently facing genocide" might be a better headline, bc it's right on the horizon there and already happening in some US states

Well we didn't kill 90kasquillion natives so it's actually not genocide. Literally only the holocaust is a genocide. It's just something that can never happen again, sorry you can't accept that

No shit natives were treated worse than trans people, that doesn't make this not genocide. It's not the oppression Olympics, you can actually recognize more than one genocide at a time.

I'll go ahead and paste what I asked someone else here: Explain how conversion therapy, systemic violence, denying important healthcare, and an active push to have us all wiped out isn't genocide

(deleted bc rude)
