I don't master any technique, I am an IT who enjoys photography.

This is one of the best photos I have ever taken:

I have zero idea of who the man is, the photo is completely unedited, taken with my Lumix S5 and Sigma 100-400mm lens.

I love black silhouettes against a color background! Nicely done.

Thank you very much, that is exactly my favourite part as well. (:

I wouldn't say I've mastered it but recently I've experimented with backlighting and I'm relly happy with the results.

Edit: I use two remote controlled flashes with mini softboxes. The whole thing started out of necessity because at the club, when you have your flash on your camera or behind you, the fog just results in a mostly white photo.

I like to think I've mastered the long-range close-up; it's kinda my thing. A 70-300 mm lens is my default and it spends more time at 300 than 70. I started on a fixed 500mm cassegrain-style manual lens 8 years ago and I just fell in love with it.

Are those handheld or on a tripod. I'd imagine you would need an extremely steady hand or super fast shutter speeds to get those.

First, fourth and fifth are shot by hand. Second is on a tripod, see attached image. Third was resting the camera on a wall.

The lens I use has a really good and aggressive stabilizer https://www.amazon.de/-/en/gp/product/B003YUBTIU

I have the same lens, it's impressive how good the stabilizer is, considering the lens is relatively cheap!

Great pics BTW, loved the second one the most.

I'd honestly say that post-processing is my strenght and even though that alone isn't exactly a photography technique I guess that I somewhat master the ability to take photos in a way that I can later make them "pop" with editing.

I guess another way of saying that is that I've mastered underexposing photos.

i don't feel comfortable saying i've mastered any technique, but i do love wildlife photography, both big and small :D

I definitely wouldn't say master, but I'm competent at lighting.
