"Few creatures of the night have captured our imagination like vampires.
What explains our enduring fascination with vampires? Is it the overtones of sexual lust, power, control? Or is it a fascination with the immortality of the undead?"

Feel free to post any vampire-related content here. I'll be posting various vampire media I enjoy just as a way of kickstarting this community but don't let that stop you from posting something else. I just wanted a place to discuss vampire movies, books, games, etc.

I've seen takes where those bitten become a "lower grade" vampire (i.e. the manhwa Rebirth, where the result is basucally nonsentient) Could a zombie be one variation of that?

Zompire rolls off the tongue better, but Vambie is cuter. It's kind of a toss up.

They used Zompire in the Buffy continuation comics anyways.

Ghast, usually.

Vampire's are immortal and so would not be subject to the disease that causes zombification. The zombie would be cured of their disease and turned into a vampire.

I dunno, traditionally people have to die from the vampire bite before becoming one, not before.

Immortal, yes, but not immune or immorbid. They would definitely become diseased. They would likely become hungry for the flesh of prey and not the organs or blood of its predecessor beings.
