People: We want universal healthcare

Capitalism: Best I can do is a useless laptop with rollable screen, full of spyware to feed AI models and ad companies

Install Linux. No more spyware. And no more AI. At least, not unless you want it. Personally, I've been a Linux user since 2011 and would seriously recommend using Linux Mint. It's stupid simple and just works really well.

I wouldn't bet on that screen having Linux drivers right away.

True. I'd give it a year or two. At least enough time for it to become somewhat more common for them to exist.

Or enough time for everyone to realize, "Why did we need this?" And go away forever.

I don't blame you because I do as much as I can myself.

Only use case that made me reconsider is somebody said it could be helpful for certain disabilities. I don't recall which, but if this is something that sells a few units for people with accessibility needs, then who am I to reject it?

I fail to understand what disabilities this could help with

Hm looks terrible

[–] [email protected] 2 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

I know, why? But looks cool though

[–] [email protected] 8 points 14 hours ago

It looks cool, but I'm worried about durability. It doesn't even make the screen that much bigger.
