Democrats had the chance to secure a majority on the NLRB for two years into Trump’s term, but failed to do so.

Its not republicans fault for being awful! No, its democrats' fault for not stopping them from being awful. Grow up.

When barbarians loot the town I get pissed at the barbarians. When I find out they got in because the guard of the gate was drunk off his ass and rolling around in the bushes with his girlfriend, I toss the guard over the wall and get a new damn guard.

We’re still mad at the barbarians too.

Obama is a master politician, you think he can't fake a laugh for the span of a dinner?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 3 weeks ago

Oh, I have no doubt that he's 100% faking it. The country is falling to the fascists thanks to the Democratic establishment's incompetence and Obama's manipulations, but keeping up "the norms" is still job one! Fucking pathetic.

Same as how in the middle of the ocean when the boat's hull has a slow leak and lets in a gallon of water, you jump ship?

This immediate perfection you demand as a baseline is killing your ability to support incremental improvement when the alternative is rapid decline.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 3 weeks ago

Oh, fuck off. I never called for perfection and I never jumped ship. It's the establishment with the purity tests.

You can’t expect the republicans to not be corrupt, the only thing to do is to put pressure on the only other game in town to do… something? Instead of… nothing? Insider trade? Sure the republicans are the problem, but i don’t think shaming them will do any good

[–] [email protected] 5 points 3 weeks ago

They have no shame, there's little point in shaming them

Scorpion and the toad.

There will always be organizations ofbad actors in a democratic society, it's just a given. The least we can do is to push back against them instead of kowtowing to their every wish to not "rock the boat." That's what we're mad about the Dems doing

[–] [email protected] 7 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

This was such a blatantly stupid fumble it looks intentional on Democrats part. Revenge against the voters for not winning.

Sufficiently advanced incompetence is indistinguishable from malice.

And people who sell weapons for genocide do not get the benefit of the doubt, so it's malice.

I mean, it's really both here

[–] [email protected] -2 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

both here

Um, that's spelled 'both sides' when you want to lump something moderately bad for us in with something horrifically cruel and try to make them look the same. Both sides. Write that down for next time.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 weeks ago

No, both here as in with this particular issue.

And I'm not saying both are the same. Republicans clearly are the worse ones in this. But that doesn't absolve the Democrats for failing to actually put up a resistance to it as they fall all over themselves to show what a peaceful transition this is and oh aren't they wonderful?

The Republicans are the fascists in the room. The Democrats are the ones who have paid lip service to standing up to them, then rolled over at the first opportunity. They're the ones who want people to keep donating to fund their resistance while failing to do the bare minimum and show up to hold onto what power they can to actually have some effect at that resistance.

They're not the ones who will be causing the harm but they are the ones who are complicit at this point and frankly I'm sick of defending them when they don't seem to be bothered to protect us.

"Failed." Sure.
