I had a professor who used to work at Lockheed Martin. I heard he returned to Lockheed after quitting the teaching business.

Apparently after he left Lockheed and other folks were there, they noticed his name on a ton of the code at Lockheed, decided he was a legend, and wrote/recorded a rap song about him by name, never having met him. That song got traded around the CS department at my university and the professor finally added it to his faculty page with a stern warning that it contained some strong language. Lol. (The song referred to the professor in question as "a bad motherfucker.")

If you find ethics after that, then your soul will leave your body.

Yeah, don't be a corpsist. Not everyone is born with a body, you know.

My dream workplace, where I had an open job offer for a good while, just so happens to make the airframe, wings, fuselage and control surfaces for ... predator drones. Hard pass.

Like how that Destin guy from SmarterEveryDay used to work as an experiment weapons tester for the military industrial complex.

For what they pay who needs ethics.
