Summary

Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg has proposed a non-prison sentence or delaying sentencing for Donald Trump in his hush money conviction to address concerns over presidential immunity without dismissing the case.

Trump was convicted of 34 felony counts in May for falsifying business records tied to a hush money payment to Stormy Daniels during the 2016 election.

Bragg rejected Trump’s argument for case dismissal based on immunity as president-elect, stating no such legal protection exists and emphasizing the importance of upholding the jury’s unanimous verdict and the rule of law.

how much did martha stewart get?

how many other people have gotten 34 felonies and not served time?! his current status as president is irrelevant to his criminal behavior.

There’s unprecedented gray area in the “presidential immunity.” Technically the crime was committed when he reimbursed Cohen, which was done with presidential payroll once Trump took office. He’ll appeal this until he’s dead.

It's not a gray area but rather an area entirely covered in barf.

Can't be true. Believe it or not, Trump donated his presidential payroll back to federal agencies.

I was SHOCKED when I first learned this. Like one of the weirdest things for him to keep his word on.
