News and Discussions about Reddit

Welcome to !reddit. This is a community for all news and discussions about Reddit.

The rules for posting and commenting, besides the rules defined here for lemmy.world, are as follows:

Rules

Rule 1- No brigading.

**You may not encourage brigading any communities or subreddits in any way. **

YSKs are about self-improvement on how to do things.

Rule 2- No illegal or NSFW or gore content.

**No illegal or NSFW or gore content. **

Rule 3- Do not seek mental, medical and professional help here.

Do not seek mental, medical and professional help here. Breaking this rule will not get you or your post removed, but it will put you at risk, and possibly in danger.

Rule 4- No self promotion or upvote-farming of any kind.

That's it.

Rule 5- No baiting or sealioning or promoting an agenda.

Posts and comments which, instead of being of an innocuous nature, are specifically intended (based on reports and in the opinion of our crack moderation team) to bait users into ideological wars on charged political topics will be removed and the authors warned - or banned - depending on severity.

Rule 6- Regarding META posts.

Provided it is about the community itself, you may post non-Reddit posts using the [META] tag on your post title.

Rule 7- You can't harass or disturb other members.

If you vocally harass or discriminate against any individual member, you will be removed.

Likewise, if you are a member, sympathiser or a resemblant of a movement that is known to largely hate, mock, discriminate against, and/or want to take lives of a group of people, and you were provably vocal about your hate, then you will be banned on sight.

Rule 8- All comments should try to stay relevant to their parent content.

Rule 9- Reposts from other platforms are not allowed.

Let everyone have their own content.

:::spoiler Rule 10- Majority of bots aren't allowed to participate here.

All important social media is a psyop.

I’m quite interested in this but unable to watch videos due to disability.

One of the reasons I left reddit is because it seemed like it had been taken over by a mix of Israeli and Russian propaganda points.

Could anyone summarise the video?

[–] kuato 7 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

The video doesn’t need to be watched: it may as well be a podcast. Or do you mean you can’t listen to the video?

[–] [email protected] 12 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Yes. Functionally Deaf. And unable to follow sutitles properly.

I think there are AI websites to summarize videos already.

Edit: Sorry if it came off as rude or insensitive. What I was trying to say is nowadays you don't need to rely on people for video summarization because there are good alternatives with AI. Haven't tried myself but if you need help searching for it, let me know.

Lemme guess, this guy is mad cause they downvoted him?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 weeks ago

No that's the kind of videos he makes

Once the VC money dried up, Reddit showed its true face, which directly reflects the character and integrity of the management. It's really disgusting how evil Reddit in particular is though when you really think about it. They gaslighted users for years about it being a grassroots type of community site, only to pull the rug on anyone not toeing their line. Even if that's just saying one wrong thing to an admin, boom, IP banned. Your involvement never mattered. They're horrible people and treat people like crap.

Everything is a "Psy-Op"

Make makes uou think there aren't Lemmy users secretly pushing an agenda.

US and Israeli intelligence probably has accounts justifying the actions of IDF

Russia probably has accounts to try to blame Ukraine or "The West" for their "Special Operation"

China probably has accounts trying to make their country seem very egalitarian and socialist, when its in fact far from reality

Corporations are probably trying to covertly sway people away from celebrsting the CEO's death by saying "All Killings Is Bad"

Induvidual users might also have their own agendas to push

Every thing on the internet is a "PsyOp"

Psy-op: military actions designed to influence the perceptions and attitudes of individuals, groups, and foreign governments.

Make makes uou think there aren’t Lemmy users secretly pushing an agenda.

What does this have to do with it?

US and Israeli intelligence probably has accounts justifying the actions of IDF

Yep.

Russia probably has accounts to try to blame Ukraine or “The West” for their “Special Operation”

Yep.

China probably has accounts trying to make their country seem very egalitarian and socialist, when its in fact far from reality

They do. I'd count it as a psy-op since it is state sponsored.

Corporations are probably trying to covertly sway people away from celebrsting the CEO’s death by saying “All Killings Is Bad”

They definitely are. This may qualify as a psy-op depending on how much you consider these companies and the state intertwined.

Induvidual users might also have their own agendas to push

Not a psy-op. That's self-expression.

Every thing on the internet is a “PsyOp”

Nope. Wrong. For example my reply isn't a psy-op. It's just one person, me, trying to keep language from being watered down.
