this is where jury nullification comes in.

I'd be willing to bet $1 that this is a rich investor on rich CEO hit because the guy sold his stocks without disclosing to investors that the company was under investigation for massive fraud causing the investors to lose massive amounts of money when the story broke in the press.

I'm no gun expert, but this doesn't sound special or advanced. Just seems like basic research and planning after checking how previous assassinations have failed. From what I've seen there are plenty of suggestions it was amateur but reasonably-well planned.
