I once watched a lady abandon her cart in the empty parking spot beside her. Then she got into her car and the cart rolled behind her car. She didn't notice and backed right into it.
Comic Strips
Comic Strips is a community for those who love comic stories.
The rules are simple:
- The post can be a single image, an image gallery, or a link to a specific comic hosted on another site (the author's website, for instance).
- The comic must be a complete story.
- If it is an external link, it must be to a specific story, not to the root of the site.
- You may post comics from others or your own.
- If you are posting a comic of your own, a maximum of one per week is allowed (I know, your comics are great, but this rule helps avoid spam).
- The comic can be in any language, but if it's not in English, OP must include an English translation in the post's 'body' field (note: you don't need to select a specific language when posting a comic).
- Politeness.
- Adult content is not allowed. This community aims to be fun for people of all ages.

Instant karma. Love it.
It really is a good test of a decent human being.
I have to, to get my keys back. Because I have a loonie sized coin attached to my keys. And the carts require a loonie.
The real trolley problem
I normally return them all the way back into the store. Maybe I will be allowed into the upgraded "good place" without all of the forking censorship.
Lol, that kind of moralizing is the exact thing that will get you into the censored good place.
No you get the forking censorship. Its bullshirt but you get used to it.
Homie your pizza gonna defrost
Take it to the designated trolley zone if it's closer
An uncensored Good Place?! Holy forking shirt balls!
I don't feel like I live in an area with particularly great people but it's pretty rare not to see someone return the cart either inside or to the corral. Regional cultures, I guess.
Where I live, you have to put a coin into the shopping carts and you only get it back when you return it. Is this not a thing in, uh, Portugal? Brazil? Wherever the comic author lives...?
In most places in the US it's totally not a thing, except at Aldi's.
And even then, some don't care about the quarter.
Blessings upon the tweaker at our Aldi
I heard from a guy living near DC, that a normal (i guess one pound?) bag of low quality ground coffee costs 20$. At this rate you have to have the cards take Benjamins to force people to return them.
I don't care about the quarter, but in a different way. If I see someone getting out of their car, I say "You need a cart?"
Shit, I'd rather give it to them, than walk across the parking lot. Now if I don't see anyone, THEN I'll take it back. But I'd rather just give the cart to someone who needs it anyways. Screw the quarter! Oh no! I'm missing out on......30 seconds of earned income!!!
Whenever I return to my car without a cart (vast majority of the time) I will find a random cart not returned and return it. Cause fuck you, that shit's going back despite your best efforts (or lack of any)
I swear this is a regional thing. Where I live now, it is extremely rare to see a cart outside the return. But I've lived in other places where it seemed like no one returned their cart, ever.
I think it's a peer pressure thing - once it's the norm, everyone just does it. But if people started breaking that, I'd suddenly start seeing carts all over the lot.
Yup. Where I live now is a place nobody does it. They also see no problem with just stopping in a parking lot with a line of cars behind them. It's absolutely infuriating.
Could also depend if it's an Aldi's or not, their system is awesome.
Nah I've only been to Aldi's about 3 times in my life (nothing against it, they just don't have many locations near me). These are several different chains of stores in different parts of the US.

Dammit, correcting, thank you
"wee woo wee woo oh shit he's got a gun!" 🤣
