I would suggest making a mene with a virus that has a DNA genome ... (eg hepatitis virus)
... or just use RNA ("RiboNucleic Acid") as the example, humans need it just as much to function as DNA ("DeoxyriboNucleic Acid").

I don't know about you, but I'm still alive, some would argue. Physically at least.
It's so dangerous that 100% of people who never come in contact with it also die.
I don't think you can make a person without it, so having one which has never been in contact with it would be quite a challenge.
