Netflix again demonstrating they’re utter scum.

On Anime
While Anime is a beloved animation style with a rich history and extensive following, our focus here leans towards other forms of animation. This is due to the immense popularity of Anime in online spaces, which is amply covered by other dedicated communities.
This doesn't mean that Anime related conversation is not allowed here, only that it's not our focus. For a dedicated Anime instance, check out ani.social.
On Technical Discussion
While our primary goal is to discuss animated media, conversations about animation techniques and the process of creating animation are also welcome. Whether you're a budding animator seeking to understand more about the industry, or a seasoned professional sharing your experiences, you're welcome here.

To be entirely fair, this was originally on Max and HBO is to blame. But yeah, Netflix is making a mistake. This is the kind of show that even if it doesn't get massive views on release has a lot of staying power and long term appeal.
There's a s2 concept trailer here: https://www.instagram.com/p/DB-DuB5Se07/
Jesus. That's incredible. 😭😱🥹
But you can expect more of the fucking mess The Witcher!
Fuck Netflix with a rusty pineapple sideways. 🖕🏼
I desperately hope someone picks this up. One of the most amazing, imaginatively animated shows I've seen. I must see if there's any kind of physical release.
Scavenger's Reign wasn't advertised in the slightest. I watch a lot of animation. I browse Netflix occasionally. The only time I heard of this show was from word of mouth.
Really a shame. Just proves not to get emotionally invested in anything netflix makes.
Tbf HBO made it, put it on Max, and then Netflix bought the rights when HBO decided not to order a 2nd season.
I should edit it to say any streaming service.
Damn that sucks. They had a great season at least.
