So he's saying he hides behind fake news?

[–] theunknownmuncher 45 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago) (3 children)

He is signaling, quite directly and openly, to his supporters that he would be okay with journalists that he doesn't like being murdered. He was remarking about how he was covered by bulletproof glass from all angles, except from the press section.

Would those who down-vote like to explain their interpretation of:

I have this piece of glass here, but all we have really over here is the fake news, right? And, to get me, somebody would have to shoot through the fake news. And I don’t mind that so much, ’cause I don’t mind. I don’t mind that

Here is his campaign communications director's official statement on this, if you need some inspiration

What the fuck is the communications director sniffing

It is important for us to remember the name "Steven Cheung" and the names of all those who enable and defend this kind of violent rhetoric in an official capacity. Politically motivated violence is the definition of "terrorism".

A rational and moral person would resign instead of write this statement. These people are dangerous, and they won't just vanish if Trump loses on election day.

Here's his picture, from Wikipedia:

I mean, to be fair, what would any of us need to be sniffing to do that job?

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 weeks ago

you mean other than trump's grundle?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 weeks ago

The job of the Trump campaign manager is actually very easy. Just observe what is going on around the candidate and just say that the opposite is happening.

You get dumber the longer you read it

Brilliantly talking

Okay buddy. Whatever you need to tell yourself.

Yeah the longer unabridged comment he made is a lot worse. He was even gesticulating when talking in detail where the glass was and wasn't. If it was anyone else it'd be a threat so credible that they'd get tackled by 4 dudes and dragged to jail

[–] Anticorp 3 points 2 weeks ago

Any leader that requires that much protection from the people he's supposed to be serving, obviously isn't serving the people very well.

Noone with a brain watch his rallies and think "yeah thats the candidate i want to vote for".

He rambles utter nonsense, cant even form real sentences, talks about himself a lot and just says democrats are the worst.

It's absolutely mind-boggling to me that anyone would vote for him. It's a cult.

Hear the Jonhstown tapes. While we do believe some of these people were forced to drink poison, there definetly were people who were okay with a 'revolutionary suicide' rhetoric. And these true believers have no problem wishing death on others as well.

Trump is not there yet, but he's edging on that.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 2 weeks ago

He's said he may have to use the military on his political opponents. That's definitely not not that.

[–] Anticorp 7 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Unfortunately according to the polls, about half of registered voters are going to vote for him. It's mind boggling. Out of all the people on the planet to choose from, they choose this guy? This fucking guy?!

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 weeks ago

Well, he's expected to win about half of the EC. Less than half of people are expected to vote for him. Same problem, but this is more frustrating.
