Find a way to connect to those you disagree with.

I'd rather find a way to integrate them into society in such a way that they aren't actively trying to destroy it on multiple fronts as if it's some sort of prank

I've been on Adderall since I was 9 and my relationship with food is basically waking up hungry, taking some pills, and then being hungry but having absolutely no impetus to act on it... And 12 hours after waking up everything wears off and it's suddenly 'food horny' for lack of better word. Profoundly, ravenously hungry.

I've basically been training my whole life to saunter into a pizza place and order a 16" pizza and eat the whole thing in 15 minutes.

Professional competitive eaters are nuts tho, this pizza place near me has a challenge to eat a 16" specialty pizza, I did it for shits and giggles after work one day in like 20 minutes, but on their wall of finishers, a professional eater stopped in and ate the whole damn thing in 2 minutes and 49 seconds, that's terrifying

I think it's because he didn't disclose that he paid hush money.

His own lawyer confirmed to NPR a couple days ago, that he and his accuser 'reached a settlement' in which Hegseth offered money in exchange for accuser to sign an NDA, which is basically saying 'hush money' but with a lot more words.

Trump wants to lead people to believe that the DOJ was 'weaponized', and the best way to do that is to get a cabinet that won't be mired in stuff like this after they allege that they have 'fixed the DOJ'. If nobody is being prosecuted or sued it'd be offered up as conclusive evidence that the DOJ was, in fact, weaponized, and the less-informed would eat that right up.

Logical fallacy I may add, but the bar is set pretty low for his backers. If they just stay out of trouble after the inauguration they don't need to fix the DOJ, and instead use that as 'proof' that the DOJ was unfairly targetting Trump and Co.

But, if the DOJ is still prosecuting and they're still facing civil suits that kinda shoots that whole narrative to shit

All the single issue economy voters realizing the Trump administration is single issue too

And those saner people handed Trump Thune instead of Scott via blind vote. They know what's up. Like I said, sane people do not want to be in his administration. They want to babysit his administration. Nothing good comes from befriending that guy and everyone on Earth who doesn't believe in hurricane machines knows that, even GOP.

Practically the only people who are around Trump are riding his coattails for their own reasons and they have no qualms about it

It's not like he has much choice. Sane, reasonable people aren't exactly raising their hands at this point and the only people clamoring for roles are batshit quasi-politicians who have similar contempt for any institution that has a basis formed in reality but wildly different agendas

Edit: dunno why you downvoted me. Honestly, who else do you think would take these positions? Pence? Kelly? Barr? Mattis? Haley? Christie? Tillerson? Milley? Bolton? Scaramucci? Cohen? DeVos? Chao? Grisham? ... Bueller? Dude's a fucking joke. Take the wooden spatula and start scraping that barrel out because there's absolutely nothing but sludge

There's a substantial assumption that the wealthy know best how to manage wealth and the economy but it's all predicated on the notion that those wealthy people are willing to act in the interest of everyone, when in fact they tend to act on their own personal interest (I mean, if someone has a net worth of over a billion dollars and they're trying to accumulate even more money, that should give you a good idea how their policy will affect people who are making 40k/yr). They tend not to want to create jobs or increase wages more than they want to improve quality of earnings, because they stand to lose a lot and they somehow want more

It's normal and actually kind of cool by design - the 'fediverse' is basically a bunch of different servers (instances) that can all connect to each other. I'm on Lemmy.world, my other account is on midwest.social, but when I'm looking at posts from all communities on either of those I see more or less the same stuff from all the other communities across the other instances.

But some instances have a theme, like Midwest.social is kind of intended for people from the midwest, but anyone can join. Lemmy.ml is kind of a communist hangout. Solarpunk(spelling) is a lot more eco-conscious than other instances.

You can join any instance you want, sometimes after you join an instance you notice a theme that doesn't really vibe with you, but you can join a more 'vanilla' instance, stay on your current instance, or look around for some instance that's really into whatever you're into.

But at the end of the day your credentials on an instance are basically a passport for all the other instances, and it's mostly gonna be a legit good passport.

That said, if an instance goes to crap from bad moderation or from horrible viewpoints or culture, other instances can basically block it, and if you're on an instance that becomes defederated your basically cut off from all the other instances, so you better go find a better instance, but that doesn't happen all too often

If that alone isn't enough to dissuade people with strong Christian values, there are 10 marriages and 25 confirmed children between those 4 guys, and the majority were born out of wedlock. Two of them haven't even hit 50 yet. Gaetz oddly enough drags the average down with his vanilla 'no kids, 1 marriage' kind of lifestyle. Definite 'keep dick in pants' problem

Tulsi Gabbard also released a statement:

I think the sad thing is that if Trump has any hard skills, it's probably reading fine print in contracts to find gaps or flimsy ambiguous wording, so he'll probably just get worked up over the fact that Biden won this battle and go be dumb elsewhere.

It would be funny if he was mega dumb and just cancelled it all but he basically carved out a name for himself by being a weasel so that's unlikely.

Props on Biden for the one finger salute tho lol
