Its too bad that its so hard to find a man aged 18-35 who is willing to show us his Rick and Morty impression at the drop of a hat.

I think the problem is they have too many candidates.
They should have had Rick sneak into Mortys room and scream his name to get up. Can pull audio from other episodes from past. Morty wakes up screaming and punches Rick in the throat. Rick starts choking and Mortify asks if he is alright, using old audio again, than Rick punches him in the throat as retaliation. Then they both continue to choke for a few minutes. Then in new voices the agree to never talk about this again. Que new intro.
I know they're doing this because it's a cash cow for them, but didn't the guy play a huge part in the show? I'd imagine this is probably going to be the last season unless by a miracle they can do without his writing and I think adlib?
I'm saying this probably would've been a reason to cancel the show altogether.
By all accounts the past couple seasons he just shows up drunk to record his lines, be obnoxious in the office for a couple hours and then go home.
The actual writing and content hasn't really involved him. So assuming they can find a voice that isn't too jarring, odds are the average person won't know or care and the show will be just fine.
Also his adlibs were almost never used and just sucked up recording booth time.
The show is legitimately better without him.
Hi, adult swim, yes this idea right here thanks.
Hello Billy West? It's us again.
Billy West is the fucking man. Watching the latest episode of futurama and he nails all his characters still, even being away from them for so long. Many of the other main cast use, essentially, their regular voices.
I definitely noticed he sounds older and looked up ha age. 71! He definitely doesn't sound that old but it was still noticable. Of course it's not his fault. Definitely the GOAT voice actor.
That’s incredible. He sounded ever so slightly different in the trailer, but not that old at all. He still sounded like Fry, which mattered.
As opposed to the current Simpsons cast where I just feel sad listening to the current voices.
My love of Rick and Morty's adventures has very little to dow Justin Roland. Also seems a been rash to give up on a show that's already contracted out for several more seasons.
“We are closing in on the end of our process of the recast”, not a very informative article. Also notes that recasts are "soundalikes" and that show is as good as it's ever been. No date for the next season yet.
Considering Solar Opposites got someone with a heavy British accent...
Saying it's a "sound a like" is actually informative
My partner and I were hoping for casting a New Zealand actor for them and just never commenting on why Rick and Morty were kiwis all of a sudden

they got Dan Stevens who was in Downton Abbey and Marvel’s Legion. I really like him, and from the two videos they’ve released so far, I think it’s gonna be just fine.
I also like Dan Stevens. I was really surprised to hear that he was cast, but given his talent and how great he was in those two very different roles you mentioned, I think he’s probably going to be a lot of fun as Korvo. I look forward to seeing it!
Solar Opposites is strange since Middleditch (the other adult alien in the show) got somewhat cancelled as well. But he was being somewhat an asshole to his then-wife afaik (didn't follow it too closely).
had voiced the title characters since its 2013 launch.
Makes it sound more than it was. There were 63 episodes over those 10 years. It wasn't like the show had 20 episode seasons every year.
I'd lost track of how long R&M had been running until a few days ago. I was watching an old episode of Community and there was Abed and his gf Brie Larson sitting on the couch and watching Rick & Morty.
NOTE: Rick and Morty died on the way back to their home dimension.
Oh noes, the abusive cartoon character was actually voiced by an abusive shithead.
Cartoon abuse had always been funny. All the way back to loony toons. Abuse IRL has been unacceptable for the past few decades.
