Reminds me of an old Daredevil comic:

Does jupiter stop asteroids for us?
No, arrows
Of course duh, I shoulda looked at the picture
Which, in turn, keeps the time flies away, thus preserving the space-time continuum.
It even domesticates some of the big ones
How else would you make asteroid cheese
Yea that's the prevailing theory. Because of Jupiter's size and position in our solar system it likely intercepts a lot of the nastiest asteroids that are big enough that an impact with earth would wipe out all life. It's also believed that if it were not for Jupiter life might not have been able to evolve on earth at all
it's a bit of a double edge sword though. jupiter also throws stuff at us as well. (https://www.planetary.org/articles/does-jupiter-protect-earth-from-asteroids-and-comets)
“Only I can bully my little brother!”
I love this post
This is so true
But isn't the asteroid belt there a belt and not a planet because of Jupiter? That sounds more like a racket to me
TIL, thanks jupiter!
Seriously tho, wouldn't be here without the big lad. Thanks Jupiter ❤️
Fuck you Jupiter, now I have to 9-6
we love jupiter
et quoque te amo pueri.
Who cut his dick off?
Probably the bloody pope
The sack to shaft ratio is ginormous
So much pee.
Now show Uranus.
Alternatvely: Eww, Earth, you're infested. Look at all those little things crawling all over you!
I thought this was the Balatro community for a moment
I believed earth's moon also shield the earth from asteroids, but I'm not really sure I pulled this info out of my arse
No love for Saturn, though?
Jupiter, blocking all the slings and arrows of outrageous interstellar warfare.
