Rogue one and andor were amazing. Which tells me, Star wars can be great if they hire passionate directors/writers and stay the hell out of their way

And despite its troubles, I also enjoyed Solo on a second watch.
But even The Mandalorian isn't perfect. Some episodes were better than others. It was fine for a TV show. Same with Ahsoka. It'll be interesting to see what they do with a bigger budget when the movie comes out.
I still watch Solo with my annual star wars watchthrough. Is it a great film? No. But it's fun, and it's light, and if doing a timeline watchthrough it works well. Ep 3 just ends, you're feeling down because of the empire, but Solo brings you back up - right before the very very sad Rogue One
Solo would have been a success if they didn't have to fire the directing duo and reshoot half the movie. It hugely inflated the cost of that film which made it a commercial failure in their eyes.
It didn’t help they released it. Basically 5 minutes after a mainline Star Wars movie.
Now I want to watch Andor
Again? You mean again, right?
I have never watched it
It's a good show. Not amazing like some people say, but it's something you will probably enjoy.
I never thought about it again after finishing it though.
I just watched Andor. I enjoyed it more than the Mandalorian, and much more than the Obi Wan Kenobi series (so far).
Not amazing like some people say…
You have got to be joking. Andor’s “No Way Out” is literally one of the highest rated episodes of television on all of IMDB.
If you think Andor is “mid,” you are very much in the minority, bud.
Andor is - and I do not say this lightly - the best Star Wars related media since the original films.
I will agree the show has a slow start, but by the time I watched “The Eye” episode, I couldn’t wait to see the next.
It is the political thriller Lucas wishes he could have written for the prequels but didn’t have his ex-wife around to help curb his terrible dialogue nor save in the editing bay.
If you don’t like it, I would be curious as to what Star Wars besides the original films it is you do consider better than Andor and why.
Yes I'm in the minority. It happens, bud.
They better mean again
Lol, nobody got out of the way of the Rogue one director. A large portion of that movie was reshot and rewritten after the director was all but fired.
I'll take "no shit, Sherlock" for 500, Alex.
The worst part is that the article says that Wilson took the sequel trilogy on a sudden left turn, but then blames Abrams for not playing nice when he tried to clean up the mess. That's like blaming the EMTs for a car accident.
Wreck*
There is no lack of fault in a vehicular collision. ☝🏽
Christ, I hate Lemmy.
What happens if a meteor hits your car.
It's just typical Disney. Take a popular franchise, and then milk it for everything its worth. To Disney it's not "bad" if it's bringing in more money than it cost to make it. Sure, some of it maybe didn't make as much money as they would have liked, but I don't believe Disney has actually lost money on any of it (ignoring the Hollywood accounting tricks). So expect Disney to just keep cranking Stars Wars stuff out until everyone is thoroughly bored with it.
