Falloung out a window, Russian pastime
It wasn't a horrible idea if he was out of options. He was also doing a decent job of maintaining three points of contact at all times. I have no idea what all that handwaving near the time of the fall. I wonder why he didn't just crawl back in when he was one floor down.
