[–] ChonkyOwlbear 54 points 3 weeks ago

We need to treat the Heritage Foundation like what it is: a terrorist organization.

The cruelty is the point.

Knew who the judge was without having to look. This piece of shit needs to be removed. Can US Circuit court judges be impeached?

[–] BertramDitore 14 points 3 weeks ago

Absolutely. Any federal judge can theoretically be impeached, it just very rarely happens. 15 times to be exact.

Fifteen federal judges have been impeached. Of those fifteen: eight were convicted by the Senate, four were acquitted by the Senate, and three resigned before an outcome at trial. Source

But remember TRUMP won't do this when he's President!

This is such bullshit. I got my green card through my spouse, thankfully years ago. So this would have affected me if I still didn’t have it. I would have to leave the country - despite having a son who is an American citizen - and go through a lengthy process to apply and come back. So cruel.

To add on to that, I would have to go back to my country of origin, Russia, where I would certainly be arrested for my political views and for donating to Ukraine.

The fact that these cases always first get filed and heard in these right wing circuits is a testament to right wing Republican AGs' use of judge/circuit shopping.

I'd suggest that any future judicial reforms (SCOTUS, etc) also include the creation of a special national circuit focused solely on national legal issues involving the federal government - with built in safeguards against that circuit being packed by either party

Is this the same guy from that related story from about two months ago?

"Anti-LGBTQ+ activist judge in Texas hospitalized after being kicked in the head while trespassing on Texas ranch and trying to suck all the horse's dicks to completion."

[–] [email protected] 5 points 3 weeks ago

Everyone start looking for repubs holding office whose spouses fall within these circumstances.
