Even if you've already seen a movie before, take a moment and tell us what you think about it, what's good / bad / etc... I'd love to see more conversation around the films we share here.
What impacts the longevity of these?
From my outside of it all perspective, witchcraft and the weather could predict that as much as anything. I've seen blockbusters stay up for ever and low budget B-movies get taken down in no time.
That's kind of what I wondered, there are a couple of documentaries that I have had bookmarked, possibly for as long as 10 years, and they still exist. Pretty sure they are on thr producer's page, tho. Not sure of I have ever watched anything mainstream on there or not.
The whole movie aspect

Youtube uses automated content detection systems such as these: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Content_ID on behalf of copyright holders. Sometimes the copyright holders don't care, sometimes the detection systems screw up, and sometimes the posters have licensed the content.
Looks like the YouTube account was compromised, given they uploaded 2 videos 15 years ago then nothing until a few days ago when they started posting full movies.
Oooh! So they did. Thanks! :)
It's not as good as the first one.
This is the same director who made that very superficial Star Wars movie, isn't it? I keep hearing good things about him, but that history just makes me suspicious of him.
Imo star wars is the outlier in his work. Looper, knives out, and glass onion are all worth a watch.
Oh yeah, I heard about Looper, I'ma check it out thanks.
Another comment in favor, I don’t care for TLJ but the Knives Out series is fun.
Tangentially, with all those memes about TLJ “subverting expectations,” I was pleased to see that director do whodunnits. A much better use of the phrase!
The 2 Knives out movies are really amazing. It's clear that he understands and adores the murder mystery genre, and plays around with it in these two movies.
There's so many subtle things to pay attention to, hints that seem weird or jarring but make absolutely perfect sense in retrospect. The classic big reveal where the detective explains what's really been going on the whole movie is amazing in both. By the time that reveal happens, if you've really been paying attention, you can have the answers to who, how and why already solved and feel proud of yourself (or be like me and only have who and why, but not the how).
Sorry for gushing, but both the Knives Out movies are absolutely must-watch movies if you have even a passing interest in murder mystery fiction.
