I just had few basic question about the iOS automatic upload for photos

First will it upload all albums or can I choose which albums it will upload?

Second will deleting a picture from drive delete in photos or vise versa, I’m assuming they’re independent of each other apart from the automatic upload

What is now available:

-All photos from your iOS device will be backed up to your Drive

-It's a backup, so actions taken on your device or Proton Drive online won't have impact on the other.

If it works the same way as android it will upload all the pictures you take with your camera.

Edit: deleting pictures from the phone won't delete them from your proton drive

I haven’t used android so that statement doesn’t mean much to me, will it just upload every photo or albums.

As for deletion like I said in my post they’re pretty much independent from each other in that regard

Im confused by your answer.

The paragraph you quoted was basically formatted as:

If it works the same as on android, <the way it functions on android>.

So you're not meant to be familiar with how it works on android because the second part of the sentence explains what you need to know.

Every new picture you take on iPhone will be synced to proton drive. It does not have the concept of albums. It's just one big photo reel.

1.You can choose wich album to sync. By default is the Camera one.
