Andy Serkis says Peter Jackson is still determined to make The Adventures of Tintin 2 after years of the project being in limbo.

I'll admit that something didn't click the first time I watched the film, but I purchased it dirt cheap last year on Blu-ray and it really is a fantastic adventure film. Some of the animated set pieces, like the tank/motorbike chase are really remarkable. Here's hoping it becomes a reality.

Hell yes! I am all for new Tolkien content, but the first Tintin was such a wild ride and stuffed with enough subtle audio/visual gags. Its amazing that it flew that far under people's radars. I have recommended it to so many and maybe one person of all of them remember even hearing of it. Crazy underrated.

So continue where the first one left off? My kids are literally adults now.

Hm the first movie just didn't have the charm of the original comics. It was definitely missing something. What was it again?

Oh right. 🫠

The dripping Dutch colonial racism?

Had totally forgotten about the movie. Grew up reading the graphic books.

Just checked and both the movie and the old animated TV series are available on streaming. There goes my day.
