My old housemate was heading to Amsterdam for the weekend with some friends and the one friend stayed over at our flat the night before so they could leave early and I shit you not she was asking what drugs to take with them. Through the damn airports.
We had to tell her to not try anything because she will most likely get caught and she'll most likely be able to get what she wants over there.
These people exist.
I think it was when she boarding her flight from the Netherlands to UK.
Im sure you can get weed in England. Hell you can get weed damn near every country.
In England you can find weed by smell. Technically it's against the law to own it but the police never do anything about it because they don't care.
I know it is easy to find there. Most of the world puts it on the same level as alcohol, which is more dangerous. I just dont umderstand the need to risk it. Hell if you cant go a few days without then you may have issues and need to seek help.
Alcohol addiction is definitely dangerous.
Marijuana addiction tends to just be from people who lack any sort of personality and so taking drugs becomes the entirety of their personality. I'm sure you can get addicted to marijuana, but I think most people who claim to have an addiction are really just idiots with nothing better to do.

I think its more useful to say you can get addicted using marijuana. As its not the substance that is addictive, like nicotine or opiods, but the behavior is the addiction

On the one hand, it's still super fucking stupid. We had to give up an arms dealer or something for that. On the other hand, I could totally picture Russia just arresting someone because they decided that they were wearing the wingy colored socks
I don't think she brought weed into Russia, think it was several vials of CBD oil.
Going into Russia at all is a stupid thing to do, going into Russia with literally any contraband at all is an insane thing to do.
I wouldn't attempt to go into Russia with a plastic knife just in case.

It was THC hash oil, but CBD is also illegal in Russia so that wouldn't really make a difference.
Taking bags without your consent is kind of airport security's deal. They're explicitly allowed to do that.

Contrary to popular belief, weed is not legal in the Netherlands.
I think it's like Las Vegas and open container laws. It's a city ordinance that weed is allowed not a national one. And an airport is a national asset even if it is in Amsterdam.
It's not a city ordinance at all but it is however quite complicated and lots of "grey areas", the stuff is basically illegal up until the point it magically appears in the coffeeshop, and then it's illegal over 5g. In any case traveling with it internationally is a big no-no even if it's between two destinations where it's legal. This is all very silly of course, hopefully with Germany going legal we're finally gonna start seeing some progress on the topic, if daddy Germany is ok with it the rest will likely follow.
No, it's not allowed through a city ordinance. It's still entirely illegal in all of the Netherlands.
They just have a stance that they don't take action in most cases that are inside specific guidelines, which includes the open sale of weed in certain shops.
If they wanted to arrest you for something that under gedogen is usually permitted, they still could.
City ordinances exist here and in the Netherlands too, the difference is that a city ordinance makes something explicitly legal while in the area it covers, while in gedogen, the thing stays entirely illegal, the cops just will overlook most all cases unless it's something like Minaj did where she's hauling around a quantity larger than you would for personal use and trying to bring it across borders.
If I go from Belgium to the Netherlands, I can smoke it up at a dutch coffeeshop all day long and even carry around a small quantity, it's illegal, but cops won't do anything about it.
The moment I go from the Netherlands back to Belgium, I could get in trouble if I still have that weed with me.
And that's within the EU, with open borders and free movement of EU citizens.
The UK however no longer is part of the EU, so they are even more strict about taking drugs across borders with them.
