hi, I updated steam on fedora 38 and now it is stuck at 'loading user data'. Has anyone also experienced this ?

This constantly happens here, I just have to run steam with --reset on terminal so it deletes and redownloads all steam stuff from user directory (except games). It always fixed the issue.

Wow I didn't know about that option! I always removed everything (but steamapps) from ~/.steam to fix issues.

I just updated Steam on Linux MX and works fine for me.

Tho I've read they implemented hardware acceleration in this patch, maybe you can try temporarily disabling it and see if it fixes the loading?

I was just going crazy with the same issue on a fresh install of Linux Mint!

Oh well I did need to collect some performance stats from Win11 anyway for comparison sake…
