Even better question.

Bring a clusterbomb to an elimination mission.

That isn't a question. It's a fact. I will technically have the highest kill count.

Team kills are still kills!

Elimination is the only mission where 380s are useful. Fight till you can't spawn anymore without hitting bugs or bots, then throw down a 380 in the middle of it and land on some elevated ground if possible. Chances are the arty clears the horde, getting you like 50% out of a strategem or two. Works best on high level missions.

I recently got banned from cluster bomb with my main squad, and will probably soon be banned from airburst launcher.

Just... get better at placement...?

The Airstrike was the first stratagem that I unlocked, but I'm still using today in almost everything except defense missions. The high number of charges, short cooldown, and ability to take out groups, factories, bug holes, or even kill tanks or Bile Titans just makes it sooo good.

My friends won't let me bring 380mm and 120mm anymore. something about being less useful than rocks..

Yeah, they sometimes clear a large base. But then again, you need to stand there and watch the artillery while it's clearing. Dropping a few eagles, sniping from afar using eruptor or autocannon, spear, etc are just more reliable than barrages.

Yeah, but big booms though

Every time I call in a 380 I either get 0 kills and like 1 spawner, or 50 kills and the base is rubble.

Normal airstrike for bots, cluster bombs for bugs

Cluster bombs are amazing but I personally love the orbital airburst. Hits 3 times in a wide yet precise spot so it's great for running a massive group through a choke point or shutting down a breach.

This might be slightly controversial but I tend to prefer the 110mm rocket pods

If they could more reliably hit their targets accurately, they'd be a top-tier pick, IMO. Unfortunately, I find that they miss often enough to discourage me from bringing it into missions as often.

I do like the 110mm against heavies, but they didn't feel quite as versatile to me, so I always end up using the Airstrike instead.

I was a big fan of those few days a while back when we got free 110mms for every mission though. I was calling down Eagle-1 on everything!

I feel like they made a change to them recently. I used to take 110s on bot missions because they would consistently destroy tanks and turrets in 1 call, and they would prioritize fabricators over anything smaller than a hulk which would let me bring stun grenades. Now they feel like they prioritize any enemy over a spawner and I've had the it to where 2 rockets would prioritize infantry next to a tank and only 1 rocket would hit the tank.
