Hello fellow Far Side fans!
About this community and how I post the comic strip… Many moons ago, I would ask my Dad to save the newspaper for me everyday so I could read my favorite comic strips and one of those was The Far Side. These days of course you find just about anything online including www.thefarside.com where they post several comics a day and I repost them here. Just to note, the date you see in my posts is not the initial release date, but the date they were posted on the website.
The Far Side is a single-panel comic created by Gary Larson and syndicated by Chronicle Features and then Universal Press Syndicate, which ran from December 31, 1979, to January 1, 1995 (when Larson retired as a cartoonist). I mean, how else would we know where it's eyes are?
And not a representative from the human race to be found around Mother Nature showing any concerning whatsoever. Well done, Mister Larson.
What does it say that Mother Nature is shown as a human, tho?
Perhaps that only humans are able to perceive mother nature as a concept, and thus project humanity onto her.
Oh god if she was on life support in 1990, how is she doing today?
Don't worry, we've copied her genetic material, we can probably reconstruct her later.

This is why I cant watch nature documentaries any more.
You too? I used to love them. Grew up on them. The worst part you'd see was when the lion got the gazelle, but you'd think 'well the lion has to eat too'.
Now all of them end with 'and numbers are on the decline... Their habitat is shrinking... The ice is breaking away... They're being hunted to extinction'.
I can't swallow the bitterness.
