What is the best Android client for PeerTube? I would prefer if it is easy to switch instances

Newpipe can also view Peertube instances.

No, but you can follow channels without an account exactly as YouTube https://newpipe.net/#subscriptions

Unfortunately, most of the clients suck at this point, due to being unfinished. PeerTube is one of the fediverse projects that desperately needs a good client.

NewPipe has options for PeerTube, though I haven't used them myself so I can't say how good they are

I remember trying fedilab (the free version on froid)

Tubelab and Thorium were both good choices, giving the ability to quickly change instances, though I don't think they're being actively maintained.

There is fedilab, by the same devs as tubelab, but the quick switching doesn't seem to have been ported over:(

Yea I looked at their latest updates and they were both fairly outdated hence why I asked this question
