I'm watching Stargate with my wife, and although she saw bits and pieces of the show growing up, she never actually watched it. So she has no idea what the plot of anything is.

We just got to that episode in season 6.

She was so pissed I didn't warn her. I haven't told her he comes back yet. As far as she knows, the rest of the show is with Jonas.

Literally, any time they put Daniel in danger after that, I had absolutely no worries anything would happen to him, because even if it did he would just come back anyway. Sure Oma helped him the first and second time but I think Daniel has the ascension thing figured out now and he's prepared to ascend when he finally dies for real.

Honestly if I were ascended, I'd just go find my own corner of the universe and play around a bit. Fuck the ancients and their bullshit rules they won't even follow when they're inconvenient. They can't force me to stay in the milky way.

I wonder if they would notice if someone jogged over to Destiny to fix the whole thing up and turn total control over to the residents...

Sounds like how Origin started.

Back in your hole, Corin Nemec!

Don't make him mad. He'll go off the deep end quick, and he knows that old dynamite sweats nitro glycerine.

I'm always annoyed when someone says meteor but means meteorite. But maybe this someone did it on porpoise.

The terminology bothers me too because it leads to exactly this problem near the ground: it's a meteorite only after it lands on the ground, so since a person has some height wouldn't a direct hit mean being killed by a meteor starting the process of becoming a meteorite? I realize this is multiple levels of pedantry lol

I would say yes, he was killed by a meteor since it hadn't quite hit the ground yet.

If it's a small meteorite, does it become a meteor again if someone throws it?

A meteor is the visible passage of a meteoroid, comet, or asteroid entering Earth's atmosphere.

So the visible phenomenon. You can't get hit by that.

A meteorite is a solid piece of debris from an object, such as a comet, asteroid, or meteoroid, that originates in outer space and survives its passage through the atmosphere to reach the surface of a planet or moon.

It's the thing from outer space as soon as it hits the ground. So to be fair that guy in the comic wasn't hit by one. You are right. :)

So... He was hit by a meteoroid and didn't mind?
