  • “You get what you pay for.”
  • “So, minimum effort for minimum wage?”
  • “No, not like that!”

It occurs to me that this could be read with the speakers interchangeable.

Actually, though, now that you mention it, we do have to fix your pay. We're going to give you a 10% cut. Really sorry, things are tight, and during these troubling times, we all need to make sacrifices. Also, we stopped paying into your 401k. Breaks over, get back before we dock you 15 minutes for every 3 minutes late.

Why would you give notice? Just leave.

These comics are meh...

Not trying to mean but if you can accomplish the same message with text only, you're not using the comic format well.

Far more effort than a twitter screenshot "meme"

[–] [email protected] 14 points 11 months ago

yes its more effort, that doesnt mean everything done was necessary. it could be a white background with black text, the joke would work just as well

I thought 15 pieces of flair are enough?

If you pay me the absolute minimum amount that you're legally required to, I'll do the minimum amount of work I can get away with without being fired.

Imagine your employer paid you a real living wage, gave you fair & paid annual leave, regularly thanked you for your contribution, and generally made you feel valued. You'd respect them and feel pride in your work, you'd definitely be more likely to give 110% effort.

Work culture is rotten, you're just a nobody to your employer. I'm speaking on my own experience anyhow.
