Sorry "journalism". Two simple questions they couldn't manage:

Why are they tax exempt in the first place?

Given an answer to that:

Why is that exemption being overturned?

I’m kind of ambivalent. On one hand, they’re celebrating rebellion for slave ownership. But on the other hand, we shouldn’t be deciding tax exempt status based on whether current politicians like the message.

Consider the Satanic Temple. They do a great job of getting people riled up, but a lot of people here support their causes of separation of church and state, and government fairness. Do you want the next holier than thou politician to remove their charity status unfairly?
