"Convenience fee"

I'm getting pretty sick of this crap, like I'm sure everyone else is too. "Prices went up!" "Why?" "Because prices went up on everything else!"

[–] [email protected] 24 points 1 year ago

"why did my rent go up by 400 dollars?" "Because my favorite bagel spot raised prices by a dollar"

Eat your local monopoly man?

And yet, no one is rioting. Everyone is simply allowing this robbery to happen unchallenged.

I remember when they did the math and average pay today is lower than it was in the Great Depression. I see videos on YouTube about surviving on 1 dollar a day and it has millions of views. People are eating nettle soup the stuff people starved on in the English created famines in Ireland

It's cool though could be worse. Still slightly better than Slave or Serf

I'm too tired, sick and miserable to riot tbh.

If I were younger I would try.

Can't miss work, that's my healthcare.

Good thing we're back in the office.

I feel this. I make really good money and me and my spouse both work and we can barely get by.

[–] [email protected] 21 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Same I’m a computer engineer and she’s a nurse and we barely get by

Our rent has gone up $600 in the last 2 years. We haven't moved, our landlord just keeps raising it.

There is a German proverb: Only death is free and it will cost your life.

Oh, you don't have $70? That'll be $80 then.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 year ago

You're the reason I was charged $40 when I didn't have $10 in my bank account

[–] QubaXR 1 points 1 year ago

And I'll scream and spit curses at you if the tip is any lower than 25%
