Welcome to /c/Gay - Your LGBTQ+ Haven

We're more than just a community; we're your haven for celebrating LGBTQ+ culture and connecting with like-minded individuals.

Community Rules:

~ 1. No bigotry. Hating someone off of their race, culture, creed, sexuality, or identity is not remotely acceptable. Mistakes can happen but do your best to respect others.

~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.

~ 4. Keep it LGBTQ+ related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.

~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love posts but 3-4 in an hour is plenty enough.

~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.

~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon' and fuck over our artist friends.

Being afraid of your kid turning gay from watching something despite most media portraying hetero relationships implies that being gay is somehow more alluring. Once your kid had his first taste of being gay the other stuff just doesn't cut it anymore.

The parents are probably straight acting bi and suppress thier own bisexuality.

In a conversation I had with a very conservative Christian, at least some in fact do believe that it is "alluring" to be gay, just as all sins are appealing and the devil makes it that way.

I like to think this implies that all homophobes are secretly gay, but so many have such massive egos that they just think they're "better people" because they aren't swayed by the sin of homosexuality.

When you put it like that, it makes me think of the song, "Ya Got Trouble."

What's WAP?

Wireless access point is all I know of this TLA

[–] [email protected] 17 points 1 year ago (3 children)

It's a song by CardiB. It stands for Wet Ass Pussy.

The most common type of locomotive in India is the Wide-gauge Alternating Current Passenger class 7, so when that song came out you would go to the railway station and see WAP written on all the trains in huge letters.

It stands for Orange Itchy Coochey, a song by Lil Brown-I.

[–] llamatron 4 points 1 year ago

I'm guessing but I think it's 'Oh, I see'

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

[–] cone_zombie 4 points 1 year ago

[–] [email protected] 12 points 1 year ago (1 children)

[–] faceula 11 points 1 year ago (1 children)

It is not Wandering Atrial Pacemaker.

We universally agreed on the cardiac critical care unit I work to not ever ever abbreviate this particular arrhythmia.

[–] Emerald 7 points 1 year ago

Grab an isp and a wifi dongle for this wireless access point

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

It's a Cardi B song bragging about how much dick she gets.

WAP stands for wet ass pussy.

[–] son_named_bort 7 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I thought listening to WAP turned your doctor wife dry.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

Only your doctor wife though. Other wives are fine. And also only if you look like Ben Shitpiro.

[–] Clbull 5 points 1 year ago (2 children)

just... show them "WAP" and change them back

Because nothing says traditional Conservative family values like a song about baby-trapping men (how else would you interpret the line "make that pullout game weak?") from an ex-stripper who used to make money on the side drugging and robbing guys.

That's not a joke, by the way.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

I don't like cardi b at all, but you kinda missed the point. It's all about sexuality, and if you think a sexualized song about gay people will make you gay, then a sexuality song about pussy must, therefore, make you like pussy.

[–] art 0 points 1 year ago

The whole baby-trapping narrative you seem to see in this stinks of flagrant sexism.
