So if you're pretty certain you have rats under your house, and you have a dog so poison is out of the question...what do you do? Baited traps in dog safe areas?

Snap traps under milk crates or under furniture they can't reach, ie my buffet is on little legs.

Some people recommend instant mash potato. No idea how effective it is in reality. Whatever you do make sure the rodents can get out before you kill them. The stench is unbelievable if they die under the house!!!!
