Healthy food is expensive. Gotta save up so I can eat better later.
Not just money but effort. After a crippling, long shift, the idea of just buying a $5 pizza on the way home is much more attractive than the idea of going home to cook
Nah, healthy food is cheaper but it'll take more effort and might not always taste as good as restaurant food. You can concentrate the effort by meal prepping. You can eat rice, chicken, and broccoli for much cheaper than most restaurants.
I have co-workers that spend ungodly amounts of money on 3rd party app ordered fast food. Thinking you're saving money is cope and you'll feel like shit.
Before someone says it I am aware of the studies on obesity being more prevalent in low income areas. I do think some people are under a time crunch that can't be worked around and sympathize there. Same with food deserts and such.
