What I don't like about this is that the X-Men are a family and Miss Marvel already has a perfectly fine one.

Apparently, when she was created, the plan was always to make her a mutant but editorial killed the idea because, at that time, the Fox properties were on the outs at Marvel.

So they did the Inhumans origin instead.

They certainly dropped hints about Ms. Marvel being a mutant at the end of her TV series. The irony is Quake / Daisy Johnson is a mutant in the comics but they had to make her an Inhuman for Agents of SHEILD because at the time Fox Studios had the exclusive rights to the Marvel Mutant concept.

If she's not a mutant in the future it's a retcon.

Maybe they can learn about being a family from her, since she has a healthy one. Unlike Xavier who is a shit dad
