the attitude is so fucking weird. why are they forcing us to comply with their garbage? shouldn't the site want users to like the change? or a change to be legitimately built with users in mind?

Hmm, that's an interesting way to look at. It does seem to track that as interest rates went up so did enshittification. Too bad the reverse won't be true if rates go back down, all the big players will probably double down on cashing out if they're still around by then.
