I don't fault him for that. Getting old sucks, and it affects people differently. Many get bigger without much effort and there may be underlying conditions that limit ones ability to exercise sufficiently. I'm okay with Trump being heavy, lying about it egregiously is a different story.
In his case he was bragging about intentionally not exercising so it's not the same, but you're right

He’s an obese old man with bad makeup and bad hair, that’s fine, I wish an obese woman with bad makeup and bad hair could be such a popular politician. But he’s acting like he’s young and fit and his followers are joining in it and it’s just wild. Also the whole fascism thing
My issue with it is more that he bullies and ridicules other people for their looks even though everything about himself is fake. And yeah, primarily the fascism.
it's the hypocrisy - he mocks everyone else while he's no paragon of virtue or masculinity or physical health.
that's the bit that sticks in my craw.
He has money to hire the best personal trainer ever, I think he doesn't because he's from the old school where rich old men were fat and so it doesn't bother him. He might even get off on the idea that he can be so fat and still cheat on his wife.
