I've got mixed feelings on this one. Canada certainly needs more trades-people, and apprenticeships are excellent learning opportunities, but missing out on grades 11 and 12 could make it harder to pivot if after a few years you decided the trades were no longer for you.

That said I feel like my highschool experience was mostly focused on preparing me for university rather than practical lifeskills, so maybe teens destined for the trades aren't actually missing much?
