No. If I want a light hearted game to just sit down and relax, that’s what I want. I don’t want the game to say “you know, this guy isn’t grinding enough, let’s make them gather more resources to build that thing he’s trying to build”. It’s forcing a grind and I won’t buy a game that does this.
Yeah, it will harm more than help. Developers then will try harder to implement the type of player experience they want. Which is not necessarily the one players will want out of it.
