Considering how expensive they're getting, I certainly started to wait a couple of days/weeks before purchasing anything now.

With the current state of the industry, it's saved both my time & money several times this year (unfortunately). Too many games I was excited for turned out to be unoptimised rubbish.

Same! I have been very happy since becoming more patient with buying games after release. Has saved me money too!
