Admins are going to be taking them over soon. I got the threatening modmail on all my subs, even the really tiny under 1000 ones
I mean, they can threaten thousands of subs that they're gonna take over... But with what manpower
Sadly most mods seem to give in the moment their existences as mods are endangered.
The fear of losing what little authority they have is a great motivator.
R/apple should have changed the rules to talk only about a specific fruit.
r/Apple, of all people, shouldn't have anything to say about overcharging for services lol.
As great as that would be, If there was a sub that I didn't expect to do anything about the reddit changes, it would be r/apple.
Ability to pay bills are at stake so it's understandable.
They're afraid if they lose their volunteer moderator status, they'll have to start spending more time with their families.
That's humor, right?
I got that message, so I just made the subs public again, and I'll be an absentee mod like half of the rest of Reddit, and the whole site will continue its enshittification.
