A "Showerthought" is a simple term used to describe the thoughts that pop into your head while you're doing everyday things like taking a shower, driving, or just daydreaming. The best ones are thoughts that many people can relate to and they find something funny or interesting in regular stuff.

Can we just not care? Commenting about cake day is the most annoying shit in the world. No one cares
Finally, someone says it. Always hated those endless "happy cake day" replies. Sometimes it was 20 or 30 replies on a single comment of nothing but that cake day nonsense.
And the people who felt obligated to make a low effort post on their cakeday.
Back when I was a prolific Reddit karma whore (years ago) it was the best way to get free points for doing absolutely nothing. No purpose otherwise.
Hopefully with time we move away from the redditisms. A lot of overlap at the moment. Let's be a new community. Not a mirror of them.
Cultures adapt and shift slowly, but I would love for us to embrace becoming something new instead of trying to recapture what once was.
