Fully customizable control schemes. It's ridiculous that in our accessibility focused present state of gaming that you can't just swap around buttons on the switch. It should be in all Nintendo first party games and integrated at the system level
I feel like Nintendo has taken many steps back in this regard.
We used to see this more, even in their first- and second-party titles. What happened?
Yes, this; Luigi's Mansion didn't let you invert up and down and took me forever to complete, especially the water level boss fight.
100% agreed! I am one of the people who just can't play games without inverted camera controls. No matter how many hours I try to get used to it, it just never clicks (I've tried for years) so any game that has the "wrong" camera controls and won't let me change it, is a game that I am literally unable to enjoy. And I haven't found a way to check beforehand how the camera controls work (this is something that somehow never gets mentioned in reviews), so I have bought my fair share of games that I legit can't play.
Customizable camera controls would fix this issue immediatly, and it can't be that hard to implement this feature.
PS: I am aware that you can swap buttons on the Switch itself, but then the controls are inverted for EVERYTHING on the console, all games, the home menu, the eshop etc. and even that option doesn't let you change the "up/down" promts for the C-sticks.
