Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Isn't this some real nazi fascist like tactics? Are they just testing the waters?

If they could actually get the few progressives we have in prison on BS charges, I think they would. And their supporters would cheer.

No, this is exactly what they're trying to do. So far it's worked with media outlets, law firms, and colleges. They keep their own ranks in line via either threats of a primary challenge backed by Musk, or outright death threats from Trump's followers. They are experimenting with disappearing people to foreign countries, and Trump has already openly threatened to ship US protesters there.

They are real nazi

I mean, really all they need to do is arrest her on some bullshit charge, drag her into a black van and put her on a plane to El Salvador. Who's going to know about it, or do anything about it? It'd be a chilling message to all their enemies.

They'd be bragging about it on the news in order to promote the chilling effect. The question at that point would be if it caused an armed reaction. They want to start a civil war because they think they will win.

If they pulled something like this, do you think people would finally get into action?

It really feels like they're testing the waters before going full-on Nazi and dragging their political opponents off the street.

I've give it a good 15 to 20% chance that the public, or a governor, would show up with enough force of arms to cause a civil war. Outside of that I'd give it a 50/50 chance of working out for the Nazi's. The reality though is that the left isn't organized around any kind of physical force. The worst thing the right could do is cause that to change. Because of course they would immediately try to stop it, causing a military Streisand effect. If your political opponents are organizing to physically protect themselves from you, attacking them for it, will make them organize and react with violence much faster. The only thing worse than organized violence, is quickly escalating organized violence.

The way things are going I expect the first attack along these lines on an opposition politician within a month.
