Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

AOC, The Squad, and Bernie are all still a tiny minority in the party

Are you well versed in every Democrat in Congress and their positions and statements over the last eight years? If so, I'd like to ask you questions. However, you are not. So where do you get this crap? I know where you get this crap. It's the corporate news, like everyone else.

Did you want to argue you read all the beltway newsletters, interact with grassroots organizations, and have a buddy who tends bar at the local Dem watering hole? Again, if so, I'd like to ask questions.

. . . striving for free healthcare, and so on, but democrats know that he is not going to achieve his goals.

What the - who are "democrats" here? And what is "know"ing that he is not going to (what is) "achieve" "his" goals? "Leftists create telepathic webbing of negative function that support evil farts around the world." That's what that sounds like. Crazy shit. Define some terms at least.

Similarly, Bernie received the most opposition from the democratic party when he ran in the 2016 and 2020 primaries.

"the most opposition" eh. What did they do to him in 2020? Answer as completely as possible and cite your sources, as there will be follow ups. (TL;DR: You read it in a comment somewhere and took it as gospel). Hey, I'll give you DWS who was booted from the party as soon as it came to light but you need to acknowledge the latter to get that one. You also need to explain his primary losses. Why can't you support Bernie? He's asking you to support the Democrats. You choose to flip him off because you supposedly agree with him.

If progressives start gaining more power, they will get stomped down,

'Twas ever thus. But we've never had instant worldwide communication before in such an open format. So far we've used it to fumble the one thing we should have absolutely done. Go progressives. Morons.

democrats making efforts to get rid of them or prevent them from winning in primaries

That cnn article is great. I followed the author to find this which is also relevant. Check the date on that one.

I would argue that this means progressives need to be more involved in the Democratic party to finally take it over as it should be. But instead they're jerking off to Marx and backing no one and doing nothing.

they're not the huge battleship you frame them as.

Well you're wrong there. They have a national organization, it's huge, and they have money and connections. What does Deez Nutz have? A twitter account.

. . .endlessly talk about reproductive and LGBT rights, but even then democrats will still let those rights stay in a precarious position so that they can keep using them as talking points.

No. Also wrong. It's a popular talking point. It's equivalent to "50,000 Elvis fans can't be wrong!" but it is wrong.

Now he says the bill is “not my highest legislative priority,” as he put it at a recent news conference.

Do you know the context of that quote? If you did, you wouldn't be so sure it's a great example of your previous incorrect assumption.
