you are supposed to be pooping, aka "having bowel movements" once every day.

Citation needed, pretty sure this is long outdated. Afaik, anything from 3 times a day to once every three days is fine.

Can confirm, I poop 3 sometimes even 4 times a day and I'm literally the smartest person I know

I moved my entire computer desk into the bathroom for this reason. My productivity has never been better.

Exactly what I've heard from our pediatrician when talking about baby pooping. When someone reaches a certain age anything between 3 days and 3 times a day is OK, as long as it looks as a normal poo

CORRECTION: Ideal pooping frequency is actually 2-3 times a day, not 1 time a day, I was originally wrong https://nutritionfacts.org/video/flashback-friday-how-many-bowel-movements-should-you-have-should-you-sit-lean-or-squat/

Normal frequency is between 3 per day to 3 per week, but normal doesn't necessarily mean healthy. Populations eating high enough fiber diets to reach that 2-3 times a day number have 1/50th the rate of heart disease, gallstones, and appendicitis, 1/25th the rate of diverticulitis, hemorrhoids, varicose veins, and hiatal hernia, and 1/10th the rate of colon cancer
