I would love for the judge to just come out of left field with a 10 year sentence
That could restore some faith in court.
Merchan really undermined our courts the moment he pushed July sentencing to be after election. He basically showed that justice is blind unless you have money and power.
The NYAG requested the delay as well. At the time Merchan was clearly surprised and annoyed, but basically said "well if both of you want to delay I guess I'll defer... 🤷🏼
Letitia James?
I didn't know that.
That was fucking stupid. If we truly held to the motto that justice is blind and treat him the same, as everyone else in all cases we wouldn't be here.
US prides itself that unlike other country it is a nation of laws, but here we showed the total opposite.
Alvin Bragg for this case. James is the prosecutor for the election interference in georgia.
Heres how the arrest would look like: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yoon_Suk_Yeol_residence_standoff
He isn't president yet, though. At that point VP should take over.
He's already getting Secret Service protection, most of the agents in his detail are loyal to him, theres no way that law enforcement would risk a shootout to get to him.
Why is that a bad thing?
