He obviously hasnโ€™t thought it through. As one state, with a proportionate number of congressmen and electoral college votes, Canada would end up as the anti-Texas, dragging the political centre of gravity well into a Democratic majority. A Trumpist annexation would have to split Canada into two states, Alberta and the rest, as to gerrymander the outcome.
