Incredibly popular, like 70% of teens use it once a week at least. Popular enough for lawmakers to notice. Popular enough that most other social media tried recreating their success in some capacity. You can even see some trends seeping into other platforms - like "attention grabber" mobile games being put on a video that explains a simple concept, so people don't click off and are invested into the gameplay while listening.
