You always get shielding if you cast it on yourself, in general I've been shying away from self-heal effects.
Ye but I meant for allies too (Also, it is true that you barely put self healing effects, hard to balance?)
Excess healing is converted into shielding. And yeah self-healing is really, really powerful but doesn't feel that way, so I've largely avoided it.
Nice! Good to know!
Self-healing defeats the purpose of the Pharmacophobia challenge.
Does it? It could be worked around that. It could heal less, be a naturally expensive effect or just disabling the healing altogether in Pharmacophobia.
That’s a bit hard to justify in terms of game text though. Pharmacophobia is an allergy to healing potions and their derivatives. It doesn’t stop other methods of self healing, such as Monk’s meditate.
Just make the healing effect a derivative of the same allergy
We’re talking about divine power here.
The divine power summons the same compound. We're talking about magic, we can make up literally anything, there are infinite explanations for this, if that's what you need.
That’s just silly. Why would your god heal you with something you’re allergic to?
